Excellent Olympics coverage from RTÉ TV

The coverage of the Bejing 2008 Olympics on RTÉ has been great, the studio designs very nice on the eye and the more relaxed no-tie style much more appealing to the viewer. The commentators could do with having more knowledge akin to the BBC of the athletes progress up to the Olympics. But the hours of programming RTÉ are providing deserves commendation using minimum number of RTÉ staff. One should be careful of taking a swipe at organisations just for the sake of it. Praise is also important to be consructive. RTÉ TV has steadily improved during the tenure of Cathal Goan. Now TG4 needs to also step up a gear also lest it lose its edge.
