Positives: unified network makes UPC+ possible, like satellite, good number of channels. Improvements through Digital cable possible. Offers an Irish alternative to satellite. Has greater potential for high speed internet, through its cable network.

Negatives: no free-to-air option (consider combo with FTA DTT, with pay DTT disabled), limited coverage for Cable and MMDS not available througout the country. Still offering analogue cable rather than migrating all customers to digital. Apparently poor customer service response.
